     We had a GREAT class on Friday, May 17! I am looking forward to continuing

the momentum this week. The assignment for this week's class is a fun one.

Write a one to three paragraph essay using the perspective we discussed…point of view. 

POV is a fun approach to writing (as well as art, photography, and storytelling).

PLEASE BRING YOUR LAST ROUGH DRAFT  TO CLASS AND PREPARED TO CREATE THE FINAL DRAFT IN CLASS. 

You will be taking your final (written draft) home so that you can type it and submit the completed and polished essay on May 31, 2013. 

Here is your scenario:

You have traveled from 500 to 1000 years in the future . . . .  back to the year 2013.

Write your essay on one aspect of life on the year 2013 from your POV. 

 Examples we discussed (plus a few more):

1) the way people in the year 2013 use to toxic products with no regard to the ramifications

2) the way people in the year 2013 pollute the earth with massive amounts of trash

3) make-up

4) travel by car, plane, subway, etc. 

5) fast food restaurants

6) abortion

7) tattoos, piercings, synthetic fingernails, color treating hair

8) cosmetic procedures and/or surgery

9) school

10) computers, phones, etc. 

ALSO: Remember to bring all of your history KWOs. We will have our KWO/History test on May 24, 2013.

Remember that there is no class on May 3, 2013 (we will make this up on the "extra day" as prescribed in our IHM calendars).

You have a very special guest teacher coming to class on May 10. Please be very courteous to Mrs. Cotham. She will have a seating chart and I expect you to be on your very best behavior. Make sure you have paper, pencils, a quiet snack and lots of wonderful, attentive energy.
