It is Demonstration Week.
This week's assignment combines IEW writing skills & tools. . . . and speech! :-)
Please write a wonderful, descriptive, instructive essay. You may bring props. You do not have to memorize your essay; you may read your paper.
Be sure to practice so that you present your demonstration with confidence and organization.
Some examples of a Demonstration could be:
How to Toss a Summer Salad
How to Charge an RC Car
The Steps to Grooming a Horse
A Basic Ballet Barre Warm-up
The Importance of Safety Gear in Climbing
Juggling is as Easy as 1, 2, 3
How to Make Freshly Squeezed LemonadeYour speech and Demo should be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 8 minutes. Try to "show" as you "tell."
Every dress-up is required. Required openers are, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6
All other openers and decorations are extra credit. Vocabulary is extra credit.
Practice, practice, practice! Make sure that your essay sounds natural and interesting. use those ten dollar words and do not use any banned words. Remember to use proper formatting.
