Due ASH WEDNESDAY March 6, 2019

ASHES
This is NOT a creative writing essay. This is an informational essay, but you may express your opinion in conjunction with the informational content.

3 Paragraphs
All dress-ups in each paragraph
Openers 2 and 6 in each paragraph
3 DECs overall (1 in each paragraph, if possible)

Use the format that Mr. Pablo shared with everyone in class. Remember how we asked if you needed to take a picture?
The notes are your responsibility, ya'll. :-)

Lauren, do not worry about this particular format. I will help you catch up when we meet again. Just write the essay with the simple 3 paragraph format that you are familiar with.

Here is a nice start to some research . . . .

Due February 20, 2019 (CREATIVE ACROSTIC)

CREATIVE ACROSTICS

Your assignment is to create a creative acrostic from a Bible
passage or literary quote. You do not have to stick to the
strict rules of an acrostic. Please see the examples and use
those as a guide.

Strict definition:
An acrostic is a form of writing in which the first letter of each line spells out a word or message.

The BOLDED acrostic word must match, summarize, or
describe the passage.

A minimum of 8 letters is required in your acrostic work. That
can be completed with one submission of 8 or more letters
OR two smaller ones (2 separate submissions).

Here are some examples:

Matthew 5:3-12

You may want to create yours by hand like this:

Or, maybe something from Shakespeare?
What's in a name?
Remember that if you submit a 4 letter acrostic, you will need another to reach the 8 letter minimum. Here is another example:
