Writers Mark IEW SSJ Class Homework DUE: 12-9-2020

 1) Letter (w/ KWO submitted no later than Sunday night)

Write a 3-paragraph Christmas letter to a loved one. Make sure you use proper letter format as described in class. Make sure it is at the top of your Google doc.  Use the stylistic techniques you think are needed to create a well written, natural sounding letter. Indicate your choices. Include a checklist!

2) Be ready to recite our OWL equation.

An ANAPHORA + an EPISTROPHE (also known as an EPIPHORA) = a SYMPLOCE

3) Next FOUR stanzas of Twas the Night Before Christmas (12 stanzas - total)  <-------12 stanzas by December 9, 2020

4) Vocabulary up to #70!  Review the words I told you would be on the test. I hope you took notes.  :-)

5) On-going Casey at the Bat Challenge  BE READY
    so far, I have challenged: Kaydance, Jacob, Sammy, Gianna, Shiloh, John. Who will be next?

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has struck out.
