SSJ Writers Mark Homework DUE: 2-17-21

1) Be ready to recite The Jabberwocky on 2-17-21 -- 1st stanza

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
      And the mome raths outgrabe.

2) Essay - Share your interpretation of The Jabberwocky.

For students who have done essays on The Jabberwocky before, choose a different angle, approach,  or perspective.

We will be writing a more in depth 5 paragraph essay inspired by The Jabberwocky. This week's essay is a warm up. The deeper you dig this week, the easier the next essay just might be.

LAGNIAPPE:
Here is a cool video I found that looks at the first line of Jabberwocky. This is so cool because this is a 5th grade class analyzing the first line of (mostly) nonsense poem. They are pretty smart! This class would give some homeschoolers a run for their money!  If you are a grammar geek guy or gal, you'll like this.
@13.30 the teacher explains the "cc rule" in "grammar-speak."
